Q&A with Jack

1. Tell us about your path here. Why did you choose to join Acertitude?

During my junior year of college, I attended a study abroad internship program in London where I was introduced to the world of executive search and private equity. I interned with a London-based executive search firm specializing in private equity and pre-deal services. After completing my internship, I was hooked on the practice of leveraging human capital to deliver value at portfolio companies, as it combined my interests in executive engagement and business strategy.

Acertitude presented an opportunity to kickstart my professional career and join a fast-growing platform, backed by strong partnerships with reputable PE firms, and exposure to high-level searches. I saw it as the ideal landing spot out of college, as they offered not only valuable training, but mentorship with an experienced team of professionals. I was excited to learn from the best and join a firm with a commitment to taking extreme ownership in delivering value to clients.

2. Describe a day in your life. Favorite parts of your job?

As a senior associate at Acertitude, I am responsible for executing on multiple complex and high-profile executive search assignments for private equity portfolio companies. Each search is unique, so my day-to-day responsibilities vary. On average, I split my time between market research, candidate assessment, and client meetings. These meetings may include pitches, search kick-offs and status updates.

My favorite part of the job is the daily engagement with high-performing C-suite executives across a wide range of company sizes and subsectors in the consumer and industrial spaces. I learn from each conversation and candidate, whose career stories, insight, and leadership constantly inspire me.

3. What is special about working here?

I believe that Acertitude's collaborative and supportive work culture is one of its greatest strengths. 4. How has Acertitude helped you grow and perform at your best?

Over my years with Acertitude, I have been challenged to maximize my capabilities. I am constantly pushed outside my comfort zone in a positive way, which forces me to learn and grow. Through our training programs and exposure to different searches and client situations, I continue to develop new skills and perspectives. I am also fortunate to have a strong support system within my team, who inspire me and help me succeed.

5. In what ways - big or small - do you live out our mission of unleashing human potential?

My entire job centers around maximizing human potential. Encouraging my fellow team members to self-actualize and discover their innate abilities. Develop them into skills and apply those skills to create value for our clients.

6. What advice do you have for people looking to join Acertitude? What qualities do people need to be successful here?
