Acertitude Recruits Vincent Ciccolini as CAO for Brightstar Corp.

Finance expert to lead accounting, reporting for global wireless distributor

New York, NY, November 11, 2015 – Vincent N. Ciccolini has been named Chief Accounting Officer (CAO) for Brightstar Corp., the prominent global wireless distributor serving more than 200 major carriers in 55 countries.  In his new role, Ciccolini will draw upon his extensive experience in a variety of senior finance and accounting roles to oversee all accounting and financial reporting functions, and also will lead the firm’s continuing efforts to adopt the best practices and new technologies needed to maintain its status as a world-class financial organization.

Ciccolini previously held a range of tax, accounting and finance positions with leading global public accounting firms, the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company, and Hertz.  He is a certified public accountant and holds an undergraduate degree in accounting, as well as a Juris Doctorate from the University of Akron School of Law.

Ciccolini will oversee all financial controls and reporting functions, including treasury, tax, budgeting, cash management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger and payroll.  He also will participate in corporate planning, including the identification of further growth and new business opportunities for Brightstar.  He will be located in Miami, FL, reporting directly to Reza Taleghani, chief financial officer for the firm.

“Vincent provides the kind of deep expertise, professional discipline and structured thinking important to any finance function, but with a global perspective and innovative mindset that matches Brightstar’s plans for the future,” said Kevin O’Neill, founder and managing partner of Acertitude.

“Vincent reflects the approach we take in all our recruiting assignments, which is to think beyond simply identifying a pool of acceptable candidates,” he said.   “Our role is to understand each client thoroughly, and to find the person exactly right for the position.”

By knowing more about the client, and applying those insights in an effective, efficient search process, O’Neill added, “we can do more to help clients build great leadership teams and unlock the human potential they need to perform at the highest level in today’s competitive business environment.”
