The velvet hammer

Once we asked Chris, “What was the worst interview question you have been asked?” He told us it was the “If you were an animal, which animal would you be?” that pervaded interview styles a while back. His answer: “An elephant. I’m gentle-hearted, thick-skinned, I don’t forget, and if you push me too far, I may step on you!” Funny, we agree that Chris is smart, kind-hearted, and tenacious in the best way. Chris is also deeply dedicated to his craft, a genuine family man, and pretty fun to be around.

Chris thrives in his role leading our human resources practice where he demonstrates passion and proficiency for helping people make meaningful professional connections that have the potential to change lives and drive exceptional business performance. His industry expertise spans a diverse set of key competencies including life sciences, consumer products, and energy.

Before joining Acertitude, Chris enjoyed a 30-year career as a prominent human resources executive building best-in-class HR functions, shaping high-performing cultures, and leading organizational transformations for a variety of blue-chip companies, from the top of the Fortune list to private-equity funded high-growth and turnaround organizations. Most recently, Chris was CHRO for AccentCare, a leading post-acute care organization providing the full spectrum of home health, therapy, hospice and personal care services.

When he is not at work, Chris enjoys golfing and life as an “empty nester” with his wife. They are gleefully traveling to new places and pursuing life as aspiring wine connoisseurs. Thankfully, he is always willing to share what he knows.
